While we were there I had an opportunity to tour <a href="http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p3871784" target="_blank">Cottage on the Green</a>, this absolutely delightful cottage designed by <a href="http://janecoslick.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jane Coslick</a>! I sure wish my photos did it justice, nothing really captures the joy I felt right after I stepped in the door! Something about Jane's designs instantly make me happy. They are always so fresh and bright, a charming combination of new and old (or old-turned-new!) with a cheerful use of color and pattern that would make anyone smile! Cottage on the Green is actually a duplex and both sides can be rented out–how fun for a big get-together! /><br /><br />When we were in Georgia at the end of the summer, I had the opportunity to visit <a href="http://tybeecottages.com/Unit/Details/76786" target="_blank">Doc Holiday</a>, another incredible Tybee Island beach cottage restored by <a href="http://janecoslick.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Jane Coslick</a>! The owner of this home, Vicky Patton, also owns Coral Cottage–the home I blogged about <a href="http://www.houseofturquoise.com/2014/08/off-to-tybee.html" target="_blank">here</a>. She is one heck of a decorator, vintage shopper, DIYer, not to mention <a href="http://www.veryveryvicky.com/" target="_blank">blogger</a>, and was sweet enough to give me a tour of her happy home!<br /><br />Vicky and her husband Henry bought the 1930's cottage for $1...the catch was they had to move it down the street to their lot and then raise it so it would be above the flood elevation. You have to see the pics of all that <a href="http://www.veryveryvicky.com/2013/11/yes-sir-thats-my-baby.html" target="_blank">here</a>! The word transformation doesn't seem to quite cover that! <br /><br />Of course I'm in love with the cheery color palette more than anything! Walking in instantly puts you into a good mood! It's so light and bright with that signature Jane Coslick vibe that I am obsessed with! And I'm happy to report that when Vicky and her family aren't here recharging, the cottage is available to rent!
