Overlooking the breathtaking waters of the Gulf, The Veranda is a beautiful, spacious beach home from Meyer Vacation Rentals with interiors by Mary Messer Designs, specifically designed with large gatherings in mind! We're talking 10-bedroom/10-bath + two half-baths! The designer clearly turned to the colors right outside, filling the home with sandy shades and sea-glass hues! Love the kitchen so much, that turquoise backsplash...what a dream! Learn all about the rental and see tons more photos here!

When I learned that Meyer Vacation Rentals was a huge supporter of Operation ReConnect, I knew I had to tell you guys about that too. Operation ReConnect is a non-profit organization that provides deployed combat veterans and their families/support systems with a free week of beach-front accommodations while they are home on leave. Basically a gift of time that allows for an uninterrupted week for these families to reconnect, donated by the owners of the beach homes. I thought that was such a cool idea!

If you own a beach house/condo and are interesting in donating it to a combat veteran and their family for a seven-day period (or longer!) or know of a combat veteran that could use a week at the beach to reconnect with their loved ones, visit Operation ReConnect or their Facebook page to get more info!

Oh and you have to see this turquoise stunner...Windswept, another gulf-front home from Meyer Vacation Rentals, was a donation to the organization that Operation ReConnect families were recently able to enjoy!

Amazing, right?!

Love turquoise? I love how interior designer Krista Lewis of K. Lewis Interior Design used blue as a thread throughout the lovely home photographed here by Nancy Nolan. After a major update by the talented designer, the dated 1970s-style house was given a light, open and airy transformation. My favorite space is the large area in the back of the home with the kitchen that opens up to the cozy family room! />
Schneiderman's Furniture

There's nothing like spring to get you excited about outdoor decorating! Whether you have a tiny balcony or a poolside patio, isn't it just so nice to be able to extend living spaces to the outside?! I've been eyeing patio umbrellas lately as we have a large deck and a new fire pit area that could use a little shade. I used to think they were only good for popping into the middle of a patio table...totally not the case at all. There are so many possibilities, as you can see above!

That is exactly why I'm super excited about this week's giveaway, it's definitely one that I wish I could win! Schneiderman's Furniture is a fantastic local furniture store here in Minnesota and they are generously giving away one lucky reader of mine a beautiful patio umbrella and base!
